The EVFD responds to first alarm fire suppression in Edgewood, Swissvale and Braddock Hills. We provide second alarm suppression in North Braddock.

The EVFD is the first response to all medical emergencies in Edgewood Borough. Our membership includes 5 Paramedics and 10+ EMTs. All members are certified in First Aid and CPR on an annual basis.

The EVFD responds to vehicle accidents in Edgewood Borough, the Parkway, and surrounding boroughs for mutual aid. Our Rescue truck is equipped with Holmotro eDRAULIC tool complement.

The EVFD serves as the Rapid Intervention Team on the first alarm for surrounding Boroughs: Braddock, Rankin, Penn Hills, Churchill, West Homestead, Wilkins, East Pittsburgh, and Monroeville #4.
