Live-In Program

We offer a live-in program that currently supports up to three Firefighter/EMTs. We offer both independent and bunk sleeping quarters, with shared common areas. The live-ins are responsible for staffing the station on a predetermined schedule, usually consisting of night and weekend hours.

  • Free laundry facilities in station

  • Office space with computers & printer

  • Close to downtown & shopping – right around the corner from Edgewood Town Centre, 15 mins to downtown Pittsburgh via the parkway, 10 min drive to the Waterfront, and less than 5 minute walk to bus stops

Pre-requisites for Live-In positions:

  • Interior Firefighter Certification

  • Hazmat Operations Certification

  • First Aid/CPR Certification

 Preference will be given to those with:

  • Firefighter 1 or 2

  • BVRT

  • EMR, EMT-B, or EMT-P

  • Experience driving fire apparatus
